Open your books to page 492 and study the diagram.  When you & a friend are ready, turn and try to talk out why the first exposure to an infectious agent often results in disease, while additional exposures do not.  Consider your responses at both a molecular and cellular level, how are Ab molecules produced?

Please pick up a scrap piece of paper and write a draft message to Dr. Norman Moore, Director of Medical Affairs at Alere.  Please make the message PERSONAL, include something specific about what you learned in the lab, or goals you may have in the future for biotechnology/immunology.  This is a draft message, you will make a final copy tomorrow.
